Searching For The Love Of My Life
| | Details about me: | About my life and what I'm looking for So, we are all here for the same basic reason. To fill the void that has left us either by choice or by misfortune. Even if we are surrounded by family and friends that emptiness stills exists and yearns for fulfilling. The “perfect” match does not exist. Let’s face it, we ALL have our little imperfections, quirkiness, our little habits that make us feel comfortable, safe and secure, and the longer we stay in this zone, the harder it will to welcome the other half into our lives again. So, let’s get going! Brush aside the “he’s a little too overweight,” or his nose is too big, or he doesn’t have that profession that earns a six digit salary. The bottom line will be, can he fill me with most of the values I came to expect from life, and hopefully I can find him here on this site. A tall order to fill, but nonetheless in our realm of desires and dreams. We all want that same thing. That feeling we once had that made our hearts flutter, our hormones rage, that feeling that made us feel like teenagers again. It can happen, and it can happen if we let our hearts think and feel without repression, without prejudices, and let our imaginations think freely. I am not a preacher, just a passerby in life. Someone who has been there and understands myself. You cannot Love someone else, unless you Love yourself first. I am not into vanity or narcissism, but feel comfortable inside my own skin, like what I do, or choose not to do. I think we all need to look in that mirror and first decide who I am and what do I want from this life of mine. And then can I find him here. Do I make concessions? Do I settle for less than I want to? We have all been through a life changing event or two, and we all want to be selective, comfortable, secure, and don’t have to commit to a relationship, a commitment, or even more, unless we feel 100 percent sure of where we are heading. Is it down the right path of life, or do I live recklessly, without approbation, or do I stay in that safe zone and just look and wonder! And look at all the pics and criticize this one and that one. Do I marvel about what they said, or lack of communication skills. Do I postulate about what may happen if I email him back? We can only expect to get out of this search, what we put into it. Feel free to communicate, go on a “date,” or do nothing at all, but remember to have lots of fun and smile at this wonderful life we have. I am not a spokesperson for the site, but a person who is looking for the same thing you are. A chance to be happy, sharing our lives with someone who has touched our soul in a way that no other has done before. Never give up on anything you start. You can and will succeed. Give yourself the chance and “good” things will happen. Live on the edge. Try new and rewarding ideas. The proverbial, “You only live once,” and “Life is too short,” approach must prevail. DO you really want to live or lead a dull and boring life? Reading gives me great pleasure-the lust for new knowledge, the enjoyment of creativities, imagination of a good novel, and descriptive visions of never explored ideas and opinions. Don’t hide in your “safe zone.” Bring your book to a park, out to dinner (if you’re alone), go camping with it and enjoy it after a long day, bring it everywhere you go. Go out and enjoy your life.
